Take off on an unforgettable helicopter tour from the oldest airfield in the Czech Republic - in Cheb (Eger) begins. As soon as the rotor blades have picked up speed, we leave the ground. After exploring the town with its historic market square, Cheb Castle and St Nicholas' Church, we continue our course westwards.

Our first stop in the Stiftland region takes us via Waldsassen an idyllic town that is known for its imposing Abbey basilica . From the air, there is a spectacular view of this architectural jewel and the surrounding green landscape. The journey continues to Mitterteich where the panorama expands and the view of the Steinwald and - in good weather - even the Fichtelgebirge on the horizon becomes clear.

Next we reach Falkenberg crowned by its small but magnificent castle, which sits proudly above the market. The Falkenberg Castle with its thousand-year history, today serves not only as a hotel, but also as a cultural meeting place that reflects the cultural heritage of the region with numerous events.

Then we fly to Tirschenreuth with its Fischhofpark. However, the district town is especially famous for the "Tirschenreuther Teichpfanne", which is particularly impressive from the air and has earned the area the nickname " Land of 1000 ponds " lends. At the centre of it all is the Sky ladder - a unique "viewing staircase" - easy to see.

The route continues eastwards, where the legendary Tillenberg (Dyleň) the second largest peak in the Bohemian Forest, is already waiting for us. The telecommunications tower, which today serves as a transmitter for radio and television programmes, is a remnant of an old radar station from the Cold War.

After enjoying the cross-border view, our helicopter heads back to Cheb. Before we land at the airfield, we have another opportunity to admire the beauty and historical heritage of this charming town and the two Skalka & Jesenice reservoirs from the air.
